I was reminded today of an old article on how Star Wars came about. Lucas is given sole credit by many for all of the episodes. They also often accept his pathological revisionist history. I loved Force Awakens on the first viewing. That was mainly because a lot of it was a sloppy kiss to fans that - with brain shut off - could feel like they did watching the first two films.
